It was collected on audio. There is no doubt he said that and tried to steal the election. Have you heard the tapes of him stumbling over the request for Gergias officials to cheat for him?

What's taking so long is that Trump is a former President of the United States. No former President has ever been criminally indicted. But then, there has never been a President like Trump who thinks he's entitled to the White House irrespective of the election result.

That sort of thing happens in banana republics. Now, thanks to Trump, it has happened in the Republic of Washington and Lincoln. Like it or not, we are in uncharted territory.

Why would being a former president slow down the process in any way?

Give specific examples.

You find something illegal and you file a charge, it's the same for everyone.

Hunter was convicted, Clinton was impeached, Mueller's investigation was going after Trump and he came up with nothing.

Hunter has a plea deal that is not finalized yet.
Mueller investigation was not permitted to nail Trump with his Russian cooperation. So in the first chapter of the report he listed many incidents of Trump's people working with Russia in the election.. He suggested that Congress should follow up with them.
Trump was impeached twice.
