Question for the Leftists on this Forum

I strongly disagree. Would you care to explain why you feel the way you do?
I don't think it would do any good, Scott. JFK, Jr. is demonstrably a lunatic. He is a nutcase walking. If you cannot see it without an explanation...no explanation would make it clearer.

So you are a leftist who registered as a Independent because you are ashamed of how shitty the Democrat Party is and wish to pretend to not be associated with them even though you always vote for them.

I register as an Independent because I want to. If you want to make blind guesses about why I do it...have at it.

"Most often do" :rofl2:

Lie.

I voted for Ronald Reagan the first time he ran.

Suuuuuuuuuuuuure.

Lie.

You are overflowing with HATRED.
Yeah. Thanks for the laugh. Irony is terrific.

I am not a Democrat, Asswipe.

Not nearly as much as the GOP.

Spoken (written) as a true hater. Hilarious in its irony.

Try to control your hatred, gfm. You are letting it get the better of you. And you do not have lots of "better" to give up.
where are you on fluoride in the water?

Democrats are for fluorid in the water.

you can figure out who you are with this simple Litmus test.

Your response reminds me some lines I liked very much from David Ray Griffin, a professor of philosophy of religion and theology. Quoting:

A myth is an idea that, while widely believed, is false.
In a deeper sense, in the religious sense, a myth serves as an orienting and mobilizng story for people.
The focus is not on the story's relation to reality but on its function.
A story cannot function, unless it is believed to be true in the community or the nation.
It is not a matter of debate if some people have the bad taste to raise the question of the truth of the sacred story.
The keepers of the faith do not enter into the debate with them.
They ignore them, or denounce them as blasphemers.

I generally agree with what you're saying, just don't think that calling Trump a POS is going to win any pro Trumpers over :-p. As I've said in the past, I wouldn't have voted for him if I were American, but I do think that he's at least -trying- to make a peace deal with Russia and I'm happy he nominated RFK Jr. to be in charge of Health and Human Services.
"Trumpers", i.e the people who like Trump as a person, his tactics, behavior, etc aren't people I want to win.

I want to win over the rational people who are on the fence.

At this point, I doubt there are many people who are on the fence in regards to Trump. I think that's especially true in online forums. I might be as close you get to that here- I support Trump on his peace efforts with Russia and on his nominating RFK Jr. to be his Secretary of Health and Human Services, but I deplore what he's done elsewhere, such as his continuation of Biden's support for Israel's genocide in Palestine and his gutting of constitutional rights for non Americans in the U.S., including Canadians. I've also now come to the conclusion that his tariffs aren't really helping anyone- not the poor -or- the rich.

Sure. Trump will break up NATO and help Russia expand. That is good to you.
RFK is a conspiracy nut who is a huge embarrassment. We have a measles outbreak that did not have to happen. His craziness will cause diseases to expand.
Biden and Trump are similar in regards to Israel's slaughter of Palestinians. Except that Trump is enthusiastic about the slaughter. Biden was trying to slow it down and hopefully end it. The Israelis have huge political power in America.

Aweeeeeee, wuddle Fwankie angwee. :rofl2: No wonder people are leaving the Democrat Party in droves; they are such miserable/insufferable people to be around.

IOW, the Democrat Party sucks.

Yup, as THIS THREAD concludes, you and the Democrat Party are the party of HATRED. You HATE women, you HATE children, you HATE men, you HATE the "working class", you HATE "the rich", you HATE "whites", you HATE Christians, you HATE Trump, you HATE anyone who voted for Trump, you HATE anyone who didn't wear a mask or get mRNA jabs, etc etc You're just full of HATRED.

You are a leftist, and just like leftists who also consider themselves Democrats (and otherwise vote for the Democrat Party), you are full of HATRED.
Someone doesn't understand irony.

I think there are a lot of people in the center, or are swing voters, who may not follow politics that closely and see Trump as someone who's just 'rocking the boat'. They may not understand how bad he actually is. They just hear about his policies, many of which aren't bad.

Really? Which ones aren’t bad?

Keeping males out of female sports.

Renegotiating tariffs.

Cutting the size of government.

Getting rid of bureaucracy and red tape that hurts businesses and prevents/slows new small businesses.

Taking a more active/aggressive approach to deporting people who are here illegally or are here legally but criminals.

.... to name a few.

Transgenders is such a non issue. Their numbers are so low in sports it is just pure stupidity to make it an issue. It should not be an issue the federal government handles.

All the rest are issues to be addressed, but his methods are madness.

He has no idea what he’s doing and it shows.

"Transgenders is such a non issue. " It is an issue, even if it's not a big one. Every time a female loses a spot in the starting lineup to a male, loses a spot on a team to a male or loses a race/competition to a male, it's wrong.

Yes, his methods are not the best and sometimes reckless. Tariffs are a great example.

I understand...and if you feel that is what is happening, fine with me.

I have a very conservative cousin with whom I strongly disagree with about Trump. He offered in a recent conversation, "Don't get me wrong, there are things that I do not like about Trump." He considered that some sort of concession.

But, I could easily say the same thing about Idi Amin, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, Joe Stalin and Adolf Hitler. There were things about them that I did not like.

RFK, Jr. is a nut case whether you can see it or not. He is a very dangerous individual running the department Trump has given him to manage.

It truly is my position that anyone who cannot see the problem with people like Trump or RFK, Jr. will not be able to understand the explanations anyone can give.

That old men in girls sports . The social issues are so easy to fool Trumpys with. There are under 10 transitioning males in college sports where over 300 thousand compete.
Tariffs are being handled clownishly by Trump.
Who says the government is too big? The agencies arise when a need is shown.
Look at the roof collapse in the Dominican Republic. I think they wish they had regulations keeping them safe.
Immigrants come here for the same reason our ancestors did. Jobs and opportunities.
