Red and blue entertainment

More than 80 percent of liberals say they’re entertained by material that’s in bad taste, but more than 40 percent of conservatives say they’re never entertained by it.

SO that's 60% and 80% respectively who like things that are in bad taste. Way to skew the statistics.

I guess I'm blue except that I like folk and family guy.

Why would a conservative watch family guy? Do you have any idea how offensive and anti-christian that show is?

It's a Zogby poll, you can't even guarantee accuracy, or that people were actually polled. The only thing that a Zogby poll tells you is what Zogby is thinking today.

Why do you say that? Zogby polls are just as accurate as any others. His poll accurately predicted the 1996 and 2000 elections (his poll was the most accurate in 2000), and was pretty close on the 2004 election.

LOL. He was very far off in the 2004 election, in 2000 as well.

I say it because his polls are regularly written for his own expectations. He had Obama winning in CA. Total rubbish, but heck we can pretend that his opinion never enters his polls... But it would be pretense. He's turned into a hack and uses his polls to attempt to change opinion rather than report it.

All of this is, of course, a portion of my humble opinion.

Zogby also correctly predicted the cliffhanger result of the 2000 presidential election won narrowly by George W. Bush,

Zogby's 2004 final poll showed Bush with a one point lead over Kerry,

People with red taste think a lot of entertainment programming is in bad taste and doesn’t reflect their values. They think that fictional TV shows and movies are politically biased.

They don’t like a lot of things on TV, but their two favorite channels are Fox and Fox News.

They’re not big book readers, but when they do read, they prefer nonfiction.

They don’t like most contemporary music, and they don’t watch VH1 or MTV.

They’re more likely to listen to country and gospel than other people

One doesn't need a poll to state that this is broadly (not universally) predictive of the average conservative's tastes. It's self-evident from experience in our daily lives.

The should have asked which group - red or blue - was more prone to having illicit gay toilet stall sex.

LOL. It actually showed that the two groups were not all that different. 60% of Conservatives didn't care (note the 40% who did). That is more than half who will watch whatever entertains them.

It's always nice to see how it is written effects how people read it.

The best predictor of both of those elections was Rassumssen, not Zogby. I do notice you use Zogby's wiki site (which they fill out) to promote them.

You just can't materialize proof of your accusation that Zogby polls are any more innacurate than anyone elses, and so you materialize a conspiracy. In truth, you are just whining because you're a knee jerk lockstep Republican who's offended that conservatives are being called close minded, and so you blame reality with being wrong.

It stands that you were wrong - Zogby polls correctly predicted 2000, and they were less than half a percentage point off on 2004. You said that they were "way off", and it was because of Zogby's "liberal bias", whenever, in fact, both of his polls gave the win to Bush.

If you think any of them are affiliated with Zogby international, you can check their profiles for anything suspicious. You can also check their sources at the bottom of the page.

60% and 80% of people will only watch what does not entertain them because they are close-minded and not open to anything new.

I did say "very far off". Let's look.

This is Zogby's actual page at the end of the 2000 election.

http://www.zogby.com/features/featuredtables.dbm?ID=49

Please note how it did not predict a close Bush win.

Don't wall of text us, almost nobody reads that crap and it usually is a bunch of information that isn't salient to the conversation.

ANyway, you were attacking the integrity of wikipedia.

If you have problem with wikipedia, you also have a problem with its sources. Wikipedia doesn't make up any new information, it reposts in one central location what's already been said elsewhere.

That's an internet poll, of course it would give the election to Gore.
It did not give the election to gore. And it was not an internet poll, that was the question of the poll he produced at the end of the election.

It had Bush winning.

Why would Zogby, a liberal, produce biased polls in support of Bush?

The polls are also thrown off because they include "not sure".

I am not attacking the "integrity" of wikipedia. I do understand that companies add their own wiki pages. I could myself add a jpp wiki page promoting how great we all are (we are) and why everybody should listen to all of us because we are way smarter than the average bear (we are).
