Christian attorney indicted on federal child pornography charges

Federal agents arrested a Christian New Hampshire lawyer Saturday and accused her of allegedly driving a teen girl to Canada and cajoling her into allowing her to film her having sex.

The Concord Monitor reported that Biron was arrested by FBI officials Friday before a scheduled hearing on child pornography possession charges stemming from an Oct. 9 arrest.

The federal indictment against Biron — who has been linked to Alliance Defending Freedom, a right-wing lawyers group that says on its website it advocates for “religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family” — includes charges of not only possessing child pornography, but five counts of sexually exploiting a child and one count of transportation with intent to engage in child pornography.

According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, Police had been investigating Biron since September, when they received a tip that she had child pornography on her computer. That led to the Oct. 9 arrest, and seven subsequent counts of child pornography possession at the district level.

But the FBI pursued the search further, and federal prosecutors are also accusing Biron of driving the girl to Ontario, Canada, and recording four digital videos of her having sex and taking a digital photograph between May 25 and May 28.

A U.S. District Court judge ordered Biron to be held without bail in part due to violations of bail conditions from the earlier charges. Biron was found to have disobeyed orders to only use her laptop for work purposes and to not have any weapons; agents discovered 200 rounds of ammunition, though no gun, at her home.

the Catholic Church...always so ready to expose our children to another one of their sickos...

Catholic bishop sorry for allowing child molester to volunteer:

The second Roman Catholic Bishop of San Jose on Sunday personally apologized to parishioners for giving a convicted child molester permission to work at a parish festival last month.

Bishop Patrick McGrath appeared at Saint Frances Cabrini Mass and told the congregation called it was an “an unfortunate circumstance” that pedophile Mark Gurries was provided a letter which gave him permission to volunteer at the Saint Frances Cabrini parish festival, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

“I take full responsibility,” McGrath said. “I pledge to you I will do everything in my power to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Gurries had served a year in jail for “lewd and lascivious conduct” with a minor under 14. He is currently on probation.

Melanie Borrelli, 19, had noticed Gurries at the festival because she was friends with the victim. Borrelli’s father asked police to remove Gurries from the event, but they could not arrest him because California law allows sex offenders on school property if they have a written letter of permission from the school administrator.

In an open letter posted on the Diocese of San Jose website, McGrath explained that the letter had been a “mistake.”

“Our policy is clear: no one who has been found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult can be hired as an employee or allowed to volunteer in any activity that involves children, young people, or vulnerable adults,” he wrote. “How this happened is still a matter of continuing investigation on the diocesan level. Even before that investigation is concluded, I want to assure you that we will never knowingly allow such an occurrence to be repeated in the Diocese of San Jose.”

No one's defending pedophiles. Any group that he is associated with will quickly distance themselves from him.

Yeah...that's why you attacked the poster and not the topic of the post.

You were defending a pedophile.
So now stating the obvious, that you are intolerant of Christians, is an attack?
And stating the obvious about you is defending pedophiles?

Do you see at all how ridiculous your logic is?

Pat Robertson On General Petraeus, Paula Broadwell Affair: 'He's A Man'

Television evangelist and ultraconservative Pat Robertson doesn't think General David Petraeus should be condemned for his affair with writer Paula Broadwell. After all, she is "an extremely good looking woman" and "he's a man."

Robertson excused CIA Director Petraeus for the extramarital affair with his biographer, Broadwell, on Monday's episode of "The 700 Club," the flagship program of the Christian Broadcasting Network.

"Who knows?" he said. "The man's off in a foreign land and he's lonely and here's a good looking lady throwing herself at him. I mean, he's a man."

He also alluded to Broadwell's wiles. "She is an extremely good looking woman. She is a marathon runner. She runs Iron Man triathlons. So she's out running with him and writing a biography. I think the term is 'propinquity.'"

Petraeus has been married to Holly Petraeus for 37 years. Broadwell is married to a doctor and has two children.

As for the 82-year-old Robertson, who campaigned for Mitt Romney in Virginia, he has made headlines lately for some other eyebrow-raising comments.

Last week, Robertson expressed shock that woman watch porn and read erotica like "Fifty Shades of Grey," saying he "always thought this was a male thing, a boy thing, a guy thing." In September, he advised a "700 Club" viewer who felt disrespected at home to become a Muslim so "then you could beat your wife."

If you like beating your wife and being a jerk, I'd recommend becoming a muslim also. Sound advice.

Romney is not a Christian - Christians believe in the Trinity. Mormans do not.

So I'm just supposed to take the word of a guy who can't even properly spell the word Mormon?

Mormons do in fact believe in the Holy Trinity.

Christians study the Bible...Mormons study the Bible.

Christians believe in the Holy Sacrament...Mormons believe in the Holy Sacrament.

Mormons teach that the Book of Mormon is the story of Jesus' travels to the Americas after the resurrection.

(Now is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho??
) (Cozmik Debris -Zappa)

Mormons do in fact believe in the Holy Trinity.

They belive that there are 3 seperate beings, Father, Son (physical beings) and they Holy Spirit. Christians believe in one essence in 3 parts. Mormons are not Christians anymore than Islam are Christians.

I disagree. Christians believe the Trinity is God in three Persons. Mormons believe that the "Godhead" is made up of three distinct beings who are "one in purpose" but not in being.
