I think Ron did a good job on Leno. One of the biggest issues that Republicans have with him is his anti-war stance, and they think he blames America. He summed it up on Leno, that when there is a murder, we blame the murderer, but murderers have motives. Our presence in the Middle East was motivation for them to attack us. It isn't blaming America for 9/11, it is saying we gave them the desire to attack us. He explained it much better than he has in the past.

Also, with backing our currency with Gold, he also explained why he stands with that. Basically he said that since we just spend money like we have an infinite amount of it, we have to print more, devalueing the dollar. We back it with something that is finite, we are limited in spending, and can back the dollar up with something of real value.

He explained a lot of his 'nutty' stances in a way that people can understand without actually having to go do the research.
