Putin let him think they were buddies and that he'd do what trump wanted him to do in Ukraine but Putin ignored him and did what he wanted to.

Iran gets to still send oil out of the Strait, and China still receives it. WINNERS = Iran and CHina
Russia defies US and gives middle finger as they flex and send Oil to CUba saying 'dare you to try and stop us'. WINNERS = Russia and Cuba.

Loser in each of these exchanges = the USA and our allies the US is hurting.
