No you said the blacks!
Wouldn't it be the white Confederate sympathizers, who still have a hard on for Sherman?

Not from what I've heard. Do it around the black part and see what happens. ;)

I 1st learned about how bad Sherman was from old black people.

Was very young..had not even read the history yet.

GA blacks are not fond of Sherman.

You might want to read Sherman's Memoirs,Library of Congress edition, then we'll talk!
Especially where the Georgia blacks in
Covington hail Sherman as "The Angel of the Lord"

Yeah, no.

It wasn't like that. Matter of fact, Covington is where it was. Where "In The Heat of The Night" was filmed and the Covington library was the "police station".

I skinned the fuck out of my hip going down a hill on a skateboard there. They told me not to do it, but I did anyways and paid a price.

Then you know where Covington is.
Now just learn the history!

I heard the history from an old black woman, she had no reason to lie and could barely see.
She knew about Sherman though. He was not liked in GA.

I don't think that was in Covington, though. Savannah or Athens.
Not Atlanta or Marietta. It was definitely Savannah or Athens.
Where they have the 2 concrete lions.

So you have one old woman as a source.

Most certainly dead by now. Yes. It was an eye-opener, though.
She was 91 when I was 10.
There was no internet then. Not even close, boy!
Probably not even pushbutton phones, lol!
