I think most of today's talent is probably in rap.
Which is a bit of a shame for me, because I just don't like the style. The only other type of modern music that comes close to their talent is indie rock, which is, of course, where I'm at when it comes to modern music. But you can tell that there are a lot of talentless bands out there, and way too many indie songs have completely meaningless lyrics. Grind likes to call me a "lyrics elitist" because I refuse to listen to songs with crappy lyrics. I'm like, hey, if you are going to write crappy lyrics just don't even fucking sing. You're ruining the song.
