The Palestinians are where they are because of who they are. They need to change. If they do, Israel and Egypt will no longer have any reason to close their borders. But don't hold your breath for that to happen.

Quite obviously the US thinks it owes Israel a living. Fuck that. Nobody sane wants to support genocidal Jews- but then you're not in that category.

How so? The amount of foreign aid the US gives Israel is a tiny fraction of that nation's GDP. Almost 100% of the between 3 and 5 billion a year Israel gets is for defense spending with about half that returning to US defense contractors like Raytheon. Israel has a GDP of about $550 billion a year right now so US foreign aid represents about just under 1% of Israel's GDP. This is growing at about 2.9% currently.

Compare that to Palestine. Their GDP is about $18 billion and last year saw a drop of about 12%. They get about $4.5 billion in foreign aid from a number of countries making up roughly 25% of their total income. Their domestic production of exports amounts to squat.

In other words, if the US stopped giving foreign aid to Israel, the US would ultimately be the one hurt doing so by the loss of defense partnerships and R&D into advanced technology. On the other hand, Palestine is little more than a parasite gobbling up billions in foreign aid while producing nothing in return--well, except terrorism which seems to be their major export.

On top of the handouts- what does DEFENDING Israel cost Americans in blood and treasure ?

Compare that figure to what America spends defending Palestine.

Israel defends themselves. The US simply sells them military equipment and engages in R&D into military equipment with them. For example, the Patriot SAM system is a derivative of the Israeli Iron Dome system both made by Raytheon. Intel's 8088 processor that led to the PC and computer revolution was invented at Intel's Israeli R&D operation. So, both nations benefit from cooperation.

That contrasts with the Palestinians that export next to nothing, offer no intellectual material, and their main product seems to be producing terrorists. Hardly a worthwhile nation or people to deal with. The Palestinians need to change that. Some of the Arab world has figured that out and are moving to become part of the 21st Century. The Palestinians, and Houthi, apparently haven't, and need to continue to get an ass beating to figure out how fucked up they are.
