Umm it seems to be freer now, they just passed a private property thing over there so capitalism can flourish....
The Human rights problems are not nearly as bad as they were. Still not great though. Of course our human rights are sliding downhill as theirs rise....
 
Asian countries are confusing. After reading some Singaporean and Chinese justifications for human rights violations, I almost wondered if they were making some kind of bad joke.
 
Japan is at least sane. A rarity.

The liberal party in Hong Kong campaigned on bringing democracy to Hong Kong.. then after the election they looked at where they had won most of their seats, and it was from the "trade councils" that elect half of the seats, and not from the people who elect the other half. They changed their mind after that.

Ummmm, but it's not. That's neocon propaganda. Capitalism outside the context of civil and individual rights is just another justification for oppression.

Theirs aren't rising. Can you even fucking read? They have no intention of implementing equality, or individualism, or religious or political expression. The smart thing is to amputate this totalitarian regime before it infects the world. At the very least we should not force our workers to compete with slaves.

I know you don't care about the world, you half dead fuck, but some of us have more time here than that.
