If only we could get Obama and the Democrats to list the damn facts.

We are going to do just like the Solviet Union and bankrupt ourselves on our war machine.

A war machine to single-handedly "protect" the world, and an employer based healthcare system that doubles in cost every 8 years. The end of the cycle can't be far off. The time is coming when the US will be the hub of cheap labor for wealthier(smarter) nations.

the defense and tax cut numbers are bogus...

nice try, but fail

If they're "bogus", perhaps you would like to correct them, using the same time frame being attached to the healthcare numbers being bandied about by the GOP naysayers. Don't forget to include Iraq/Afghanistan with Defense. Please, official not blog sources.
Still waiting for your bush "positive accomplishments" also. "fail?"

The 10-year spending increase is about $1.3 trillion over 10 years, which, I should add, is offset by decreasing costs in the amount of $219 billion over the same period and increase in federal revenues by about $583 billion over those 10 years. So we're actually looking at a net 10-year cost of about $239 billion. I'm sure you can do the math to break it down per year. If not, it's about $23.9 billion.

Based on my calculations, the 10 year cost of HR 3200 is about 36% of a single year of Pentagon spending (which doesn't include other defense related costs at the DoE for example) and slightly more than one year of the Bush tax cuts (according to your source).

I thought the deficit increase was $1.3 trillion....that wouldn't be the spending increase....and simply saying the Dems are going to raise taxes by more than half a trillion dollars doesn't equal saying we are going to spend less on health care....it just means we are going to spend at least half a trillion dollars and more.......

You thought wrong. The numbers are right there at the link.

And I thought we were talking about the price tag of health reform. As the numbers show it's about $23.9 billion per year.

???...no, they aren't.....I suggest you read it again....that is the amount by which the expenditures exceed the intake.....the question is, how much will the expenditures be.....

No, retard, the deficit increase was 200 billion over 10 years. Retard.

??...considering the fact that you are wrong, you ought to reconsider calling me retarded....the link provided by Turd links to the CBO analysis which clearly shows that the net impact on the federal deficit for 2010-2019 will be $1.042 trillion (see table 2)
