The End of Unfettered Free-Market Capitalism?

First, I do not recall ridiculing you on it. Second, not that I pay much attention to your empty posts, but all I recall you ever saying was things were going to go bad. You repeated that over and over for quite some time. No specifics on why or how. That's like betting on black and claiming to be a psychic when it comes in every other time.

Reminds me, I heard that Bill Richardson said that we should pass a bill to balance the budget within ten years, provided there are no wars or recession. LMAO.

You have learned nothing, Perhaps you will one day learn wisdom to go with your intelligence and education. Perhaps not.

Hey you can't nail me on that one.

I was against the war before it was a war.

I had a Republican representative in the house in 2003. Fletcher who I did not vote for.

Technically MY representative did vote with bush. but he was not my choice at all.

Not the point. Do you argue that the Dems were duped or were not voting for war?

I recall the period clearly and everyone knew what the bill meant at the time. My Green friends were bitching about the Dems that voted for it and most lefties on the boards were as well. Once it became unpopular, the politicians went in to revisionist spin and the partisan hacks ate it up.

The King of one line posts has supposedly predicted everything that has happened. Just ask him he'll tell you he has. And supposedly within those one line posts we are suppose know all the detail.

Verbosity means little. If it was valuable dixie would be a millionaire.

concerning the war vote.
I have always called the dems wussy and reactionary to fearmongering and afraid to stand up to the antiamerican rhetoric of the bush admin and righties.

That is why I put him on IA.... someone do rush to tell me when he actually contributes something of value.

Now, Cawacko, don't get nasty just because things are not going your way. Play the Shaggy youtube and relax. By the time you are ready to collect Social Security, there is every chance that your ideology will be able to get some power again...at least two Congressional seats, I will bet on it! You just keep the dream alive, and it'll happen, you'll see.

Oh, here is Mister Crankypants himself. How you doing there SF?

Not cranky, put him on there before his most recent departure. Like I said, if he contributes something of value, let me know. Otherwise I will assume he is continuing to be a waste of time.

If Obama plays this low key, while McCain continues to spout off like an idiot, he'll win. Try to outdo McCain on populist nonsense and it could cost him.

The dumbasses on both sides have already made up their minds. The only concern about them is getting them to the polls since they do not vote well. And only a dumbass is buying that this was the result of unfettered free markets. Obama goes wildly left on this and he will scare away the more intelligent voters that still are not sure about supporting him.

The leet voters are a much smaller percentage of the population than the populists RS. You may think he shouldn't pander because you hate it when he does, but that doesn't mean doing so wouldn't benefit him.

Libertarians do not take responsibility for the damage their lunacy wreaks. But what's so funny is watching them point their fingers everywhere they can think of, and then you realize they actually believe this shit, and it gets even funnier!

"It wasn't me".

Wait, let me see if I can find that song. We should play it in honor of the death, a long time coming, of radical Libertarian policies.

Good post Darla.

What was it the Libertarians always used to say about socialism? That socialists were crazy for saying that the reasons some of their policies hadn't worked in the past was because it wasn't done right?

Sheesh, which modern group constantly makes arguments in an extremely similar fashin, except about laissez-faire?

Good trolling.

There is one guy in Congress who is remotely close to libertarian and as bac will tell you, he is fairly ineffective when it comes to implementing policy.

Meanwhile, the Dems will tell us that it's not their fault more regulation was not passed (even though Bush proposed it and their leaders opposed it) because they were in the minority.

They would have liked to have implemented their plans, but the free market libertarians were running the show and now they are trying to deny responsibility.

LMAO.

Thanks for the softballs water.

I am not underestimating the size of the boobocracy. It's massive. But they are mostly already locked in based on partisanship, the fact that Obama has a funny sounding name and that he is black. The one that are not partisan have a bad record of voting. Mainly, you just need to inspire them. I don't think Obama needs this to do that.

My argument is that the votes that remain possible for Obama are more educated. I think Obama and McCain have realized their full potential in attracting morons.

I'm am think we should try to build a coalition with fiscal conservatives instead of trying to win back the Reagan Democrats. That's why I supported Obama - he seemed very capable of doing that, unlike Hillary, who would build a far more populist coalition. But he's not been doing a very good job, and fiscal conservatives are only really a big deal in Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada. We're going to have to fight hard to win those states, while Hillary would've easily sailed over Ohio and become basically invulnerable anyway.
