the establishment agenda

the politicians are slick, shrewd, and cunning. through all of their 'work' in DC and elsewhere, this is what you schmos sound like after all is said and done.

You don't think the establishment includes big corporate?

No, for some reason, he doesn't. He thinks that the legislators are the cause and the voters the problem for re-electing the legislators. It is a disconnect I have been fighting with him about for years.

you really don't understand how corruption in government happens, do you?

I'll ask you guys something....read the book "greedy bastards" by Dylan Rattigan.

There are huge disconnects between the interests of America and the banking, manufacturing, healthcare and trade industries....and our politicians are almost as culpable as the people pulling the strings. Any fan of the Free Market should love it, because we don't have Free Market Capitalism, we have rigged market extractionism.

It's $10 on the Kindle...and it's very educational.

Republicans get elected to try and prove government doesnt work.

they are good at making it not work

That's just the Republican strategy. Get elected on the idea that government doesn't work, defund it, and say that they were right. It's self fulfilling and continues until privatization fails and they're forced to intervene.

this here is YOUR disconnect. Our politicians are not puppets on a string. they are directly culpable because they CHOOSE to the corporate bidding.

No...it's your disconnect.... they are forced to do the corporate bidding. One does not run an election campaign on an island. It requires massive funding.

Read the book. It's worth the $10.

While it's true that you can't run a campaign without massive amounts of funding, STY does have a point. If you want to become a career politician, you need to cater to your financial base. But, if you have any belief in those ideals you tout, your actions in office would run contrary to the interests of that base.
