Often eaten outdoors at a picnic table covered in newspaper, you eat them with your hands and use a hammer to crack open the claw meat. And it's easy to cut your fingers opening them up if your not careful. Your mouth burns, cuts on your fingers burn, and don't you dare touch your eyes. It's a mess and delicious.
Some of us like to eat the spice straight off the shell.
And best of all, they aren't racist bigots like democrats. Marylanders of all colors love them.
