It is because they could care less about people at all. That has been evident for decades now. They are all about handing out little cookies and goody packages to groups of people for political purposes ONLY as a way to retain and hold power. They know the country is about a 50/50 R/D split so to Garner an advantage they hand out goodies to select groups,...no matter how crazy it is.
