Ever since Rossi lost the hand recount, Republicans have noted widespread irregularities, including votes cast by felons, and dead people, spoiled the election to the point where it is impossible to truly know who won. The judge who presided over the court case that followed, actually said "this election may not be set aside simply because the number of fraudulent votes exceeds the margin of victory" when he issued his ruling against the Republican challenge. Republicans also point to the admission of officials in King County, a Democratic stronghold and the state's largest county, that they cannot match more than a thousand votes to actual voter names.

The GOP challenge, however, went to the Democrat-controlled Legislature, which certified the election Jan. 11 despite a GOP request for a two-week delay.

But it may take four to six weeks for a forensic audit of the NRCC to be completed, one senior lawmaker said, and until then, it is unclear what, if any, wrongdoing occurred or the scope of potential losses to the committee...
 
it was a guy who took over for another guy and they wanted a document from the other guys time, Who knows, sounds pretty stupid though, though as the article states, the state of the books have been in bad condition since 00, it sounds suspicious, but so far nothing criminal has been shown, our suggested, and until they do the audit we don't know what happend...

I bet there are many ways they are funneling corporate funds into the NRCC coffers and this is going to help bust it open.

The FBI is not in the Bush Pocket as far as I know.
 
This will shed a bright light on an entity which is trying to get Republicans relected as we speak.

If indeed they have been funneling illegal money to Republican campaigns they will not be able to do so in the up coming election which very well may increase the democratic numbers in the congress and give us a Democratic President at the same time.

This could be an utter devastation to the Republican party because they could then have the numbers needed to truely investigate the entire party including all the Bush endevors which they have fought so hard to stay competely secret.

If either of you had the sense and common fucking American decency to point out the flaws in your own camp, you would get some respect from me.

But as usual, neither Rebuttlickens nor Dumocrats have ever understood the American people very well. They each keep thinking that the best way to win the people's heart is to show how they are slightly less criminal than the other party in the given year.

When you put power in any hands you will get a certain amount of corruption.

Adults know this.

Democrats are not less corruptable because they are better humans. Democrats are less corruptable because the platform is less condusive to the monied interests interests.

When a democrat gets bought it is more plain to their constituients that they are pandering to the people who have the money to buy them.

When a Republican gets bought it is harder to tell because their platforms are already in line with the monied interests.
