Hey dummy, acoustic impedance to my knowledge is not used in electrical engineering and I never claimed it was.
It's used in other fields.
Imaginary is a legacy word mathematicians use out of convention, but they are still real in the mathematical sense because complex numbers are the only solutions to many, if not most polynomial equations.
