The Trump stock market crash: Dow drops 1,500 points, S&P 500 loses 4% as stock market rout on Trump's tariffs worsens

The reorganization of tariffs will take time but pay off in a short time. The offenders are taking a long look at their past actions.

I guess I missed those facts.

Nations are moving past us and around us.

Trump really screwed the pooch with these tariffs
I hear your opinion, but continue to realize that the world's largest economy isn't one you simply avoid.

They want their goods here, and there was a path outlined on how to get them here. Well, two paths. Either pay the tariff, or work with "reciprocity".

Whether you think it is a "mistake" or they "don't know what they are doing", these paths exist and some have already begun that journey.

Anyway the facts I wrote was that there is a path laid out on how to end the tariffs.

Now, if you want my opinion: I do not like tariffs, they are the crappiest form of sales tax. Though I do like that leftists suddenly understand that taxes on corporations are passed on to the consumer.

Yeah, Hong Kong market is down nearly twice that of the DOW...

China is not doing well during this shakeup.
China has been preparing for this, not only preparing, but is moving in to take over a lot of what the USA is abandoning. Their economy is on the mend and they are strengthening trade agreements with our one time allies.

These tariff will really hurt us. Countries are moving to other markets. Brazil, S. Korea and other nations are stepping up. It’s where we were getting cheap eggs, till Trump put a tariff on them.

They may want our large market, but they can’t count on it, so they are making trade agreements that are leaving the USA out.

Their economy is falling currently, their stock markets have lost nearly double what ours have and they are not doing well during this.

I get what you are saying, but you are wrong on the "greatness" of China and how well they are doing.

I guess we will have to see who wins this trade war.

China is fighting it on one front. We have
Declared war on almost every nation we trade with.

I disagree that it is "war", but that is digression. The first nations that make agreements will "win", and they are already lining up.

As I said earlier. My opinion differs from that of the Administration. I do not like tariffs and didn't vote for this (I voted for Chase), but I still see that there is a simple path to end this.

Tariffs suck, but they also suck when they are on our stuff going other places.

What I hope comes from this is that leftists will continue to understand that taxes on corporations are a tax on goods that we purchase and that it is passed on to the consumer.

Previous to this, taxes on corporations were magic and just were a tax on the "rich" and no costs of doing business was ever passed on to the consumer according to the leftists... suddenly they understand that costs to the corporations importing goods will be passed on to the consumer and raise prices. It is my sincerest hope that they continue to remember that taxes on corporations are regressive as the cost is passed to the consumers.

Which will not change they want their stuff here and will do what it takes to get them here.

They will al pretend to give Trump something we already have and the game will be over.
Have you ever seen Trump show genuine empathy and concern? I haven't

Right-wingers can't even settle on a talking point for why we need these tariffs. If they are supposed to support the revitalization of American manufacturing, they have to stay in place. On the other hand, if they are a negotiating gimmick, Trump is obviously willing to negotiate them away. A responsible multinational corporation is not going to invest billions of dollars in new factories in America based on that condition of tariff chaos and uncertainty.

Our stability was our best feature. It’s why others invested with us and in us.

No longer.

He is concerned about the trade imbalance and is taking action to even the playing field which will help all Americans.

The turnip did nothing.

He's effectively closed the turnip's open border which will help prevent illegals from raping children, women and murdering Americans.

Of course the far left loons are opposing the deportation of these illegal barbarians.
