Theory vs reality: why Market absolutism doesnt work

really....let's do this then....

this is a mischaracterization..."they" do not posit a perfect market, if "they" do, they are wrong, for nothing is perfect on this earth. i notice the lack of citations for this opinion...shocking and full of awe....

Ayn Rand never said we are all perfect...she talks about an idea and that idea is not perfect. i suggest you read her writings.....

the quotes your article uses re: PERFECT free market:

the glaring fault in your assertion is the lack of PERFECT.....

I read Ayn when I was a teenager of my own accord. I thought she was a shitty writer ( stiff and pretencious) and that her ideas were childish.

I think its why cons think shes the bees knees.

If the market is not perfect than we should definately try to ameliorate the deep troughs and greed that it produces to make people lives a enjoyable journey. I suggest we accomplish this with well thought out bounderies called laws and regulations and enforce them with a policing angency like say the SEC.

So you think Barack is magic but the market is not?

I read Ayn Rand too, and even as a Libertarian it made me sick. And the 10 page long speech was retarded, and there's no way a judge wouldn't interrupt you and tell you to get the fuck back on topic (the topic: Why did you blow up an entire apartment complex) if you said it. And if you were declared not guilty for reasons of insanity, you would go to an asylum, you wouldn't just be let free, unless it was temporary insanity, which the novel never mentioned.

then you admit you were wrong to attribute a perfect market....thanks

i never said obama was magic, you are apparently confused....about many things

In the same way that proponents of the free market system have been deriding socialist theories for the last thirty years for being ideologically flawed and having led to enormous excesses now the boot is on the other foot and we can expect a little bit of pull back.

Especially in two years time when we are still in a recession and things are really bad...

We will be darned lucky if things have started back up by this time next year.
But do not worry it is all just fear based and a market adjustment.

I am just glad this is not a real economic crash or we would have to spend 15 trillion instead of 5.
