I accepted what he did was wrong and I am proud of the party chastizing that fucker Foley out and him resigning.
Now it's your turn, can you accept that the Dem party has a much worse record, particularly on keeping these people in office?
Look at that guy from Mass who had an actual physical affair with a 16 year old male page - reelected SIX times! Unbelievable.

You miss the point, compared to 12 counts of sexual assault and Clinton pardoning him, the emails look pretty minor.

But no, the emails would make me angry, I'd demand Foley resign and never come back. If my party were to reelect them, it would no longer be my party.

See Tiana, this is what you're missing, Dems have no conscience, but you do, I know you do despite your political leanings. When you do start having kids, settling into a home with your boyfriend, you may actually have problems supporting today's Democrat party...

Dano, they don't get it. They still think we are just trying to defend Foley or something. From their perspective, the sick perverted actions we see, are not that big of a deal to them, it's the fact that it's a Republican at election time. If Foley were a Democrat, these same people would be explaining how the page was 16, and the legal age of consent in D.C., so it wasn't wrong. They would be pointing to the lack of formal charges and any convictions, and insisting that we not "rush to judge" in this case. If there were just no avoiding the scandal... like if Foley had been caught with a dead boy in his bed, or something... they would be gyrating over the poor disenfranchised voters in his district, who would now have to be represented by a Republican, through no fault of their own.

Democrats have no ethics, therefore, they don't really see the ethical part of this, it's all political to them. Any attempts at getting them to see logic, is useless, because they simply lack the ethical understanding we have. It's more of a political move, when they speak of the "kids put in danger" here, it has nothing to do with their concern for the children, that just sounds good to the moral majority out there, who they are pandering to for votes.

Yep exactly Dixie. What drives me crazy is that you have the media and Dems sitting on this story for just long enough until they can release it as an "October surprise". Kind of ironic considering how almost every election year they accused Repubs of holding bin Laden to be shown as caught in October right before an election as our "October Surprise" and of course that never ended up happening.

If this incident isn't the ultimate indictment of their being a Liberal media, I don't know what is.

If Foley was a Dem he would probably be running for reelection right now, I mean that is what the past records of Dems in these kinds of situations shows.

The media won't be letting this die until after the election either...I hope the Repub party finally shows some guts and starts hitting back.

So you don't really have a problem with a sleazebag in authority, using his position of power to lure young impressionable interns into the cloakroom, it's more the inern's fault, in that instance? Does this threshold get crossed at 18, or the legal consent age of the state the incident occurs in? I'm just trying to decipher when your morals and ethics kick in... does it matter if it's a republican or a democrat?
