“Donald J. Trump, who recently said he has “no regrets” about appointing the Supreme Court supermajority that overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling on abortion rights, declared on social media on Friday that his administration will be “great” for women’s “reproductive rights.”
Mr. Trump’s use of the specific phrase “reproductive rights” — the language used by abortion-rights advocates — appeared to be an effort by the former president to refashion himself as essentially supportive of abortion rights and as a political moderate on an issue that has the potential to be damaging to him in November.
“My Administration will be great for women and their reproductive rights,” he wrote on Friday morning on Truth Social, his social media platform.”

Trump clearly stated it is a States Rights decision and he would not support any Federal legislation regarding abortion.
Abortions have not been reduced or lowered since the Supreme Court decision. In fact, they have unfortunately increased.

"Trumps views on abortion rights" are irrelevant, assuming he has views. What matters is what he did about about abortion rights. Not many Americans are ignorant of that.
It's arguably an exaggeration not a lie. Of course when the Court repealed Roe, voiding the most central reproductive right, Trump took credit for it, so maybe it's not even much of an exaggeration either.

By its very nature, that's an extremist position. The vast majority of Americans do not think it's "killing unborn children," nor do the courts.
I know some on the pro-life side hold to it and say things like most people used to support slavery, and an appeal to the majority is meaningless - but the fact is, that makes what you said an extremist position in 2024.
There are so many instances where pregnancies happen in ways that have little or nothing to do w/ a woman's consent. Women need to have the right to decide for themselves, w/ their healthcare professionals. There are already horror stories of women suffering needlessly because of what has happened since Roe was overturned, that sound like tales from a more oppressive time in world history.

It will be interesting if the party that systematically destroyed women's reproductive rights and who, when faced with a woman opponent immediately ran to charges of "whore" will be able to be the best party for women's interests.
I guess if women consider themselves to be broodsows and property of the men in their lives they might want to vote Trump in 2024 but if the woman consider themselves to be fully "human" they might look elsewhere.
