These televised presidential show-downs are not "debates" in the classical sense of the word. They are events designed to get a big audience.
Trump will do well at what he does, he will insult and bluster and say things that would make sense if they were true.
Harris will spout policy, and might have some canned one liners. She will be able to get in some jabs.
The "winner" will be whoever, three or four days from now the national consensus believes gained more prestige or favorable opinions.
The "winner" from the perspective of the campaigns will be the one who moves the dial toward their camp moving toward November.
They will both do very well at their goals.
What image they come away with is what matters.
