Tucker Carlson, the fired Fox News star, makes bid for relevance with Putin interview

Guno צְבִי

We fight, We win
The right-wing television provocateur Tucker Carlson interviewed Vladimir Putin in Moscow in an exchange fueling both the Russian president's anti-Ukrainian rhetoric and Carlson's drive for renewed relevance in his post-Fox career.

It is the first interview Putin has granted to an American since the Russian invasion two years ago.

The pairing should not come as a surprise. Carlson has routinely been lionized by Kremlin propaganda outlets; his clips attacking the Biden administration's support for Ukraine have been routinely rebroadcast, for example. Russian media has fawned over Carlson this week, giving his comings and goings in Moscow a treatment akin to U.S. media's coverage of Taylor Swift.

Carlson filmed a video to promote the interview on the rooftop of the Ritz Carlton Hotel near the Red Square, a location that, according to Russian journalist Yevgenia Albats, spoke volumes of the regard the Kremlin held for Carlson.

Its roof is controlled by one of the KGB's successors, the Federal Security Service," she posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. "No one of us, and no one other foreign journalist, except for Oliver Stone, had that luxury of reporting from the roof top."

Few have done more than Carlson to lift up the Russian leader as a figure of admiration in Republican circles, just as he has propelled the otherwise relatively obscure Viktor Orban, Hungary's autocratic leader, to star status.

It is an appeal to the MAGA base, Trump emulates Putin, so they do also, why not feed the base what they want, that’s how he and the other right wing media make their money, give them what they want to believe is true

The timing is interesting with the Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan aid package in the Congress, I don’t think it is coincidental how in an election year how Putin is trying to recast himself as a good guy

It is almost certain that the combination of the E Jean verdict and the NYS Lettish James verdict will force Trump to liquidate all his assets if not bankrupt him.

Trump will be desperate for someone, anyone to step up and post his bond for him, and/or to cover the combined estimated $300MM+ penalty.

That would be pennies for some Putin proxy or a rich Saudi friend and i am sure Trump has contacts reaching out to see if any of them will cover this to build good will, should he win again. And if they think Trump has any chance to win, it would be a good investment for them, as again the money is pennies to them.

Let’s hope Tucker just moves to Russia

Not many Americans are safe in Russia

But we know Tucker won’t get arrested and imprisoned

You have to not lick putins ass to go to Russian prison

Why do leftist Democrats believe that no one should see or know BOTH sides of every story? Do you think we should only take Hamas word on everything too?

You sad, pathetic caricature of ignorance and stupidity.

There's the Democrat strategy. If you can't convict on specious absurd charges, can't beat him in debate or in the polls, bankrupt him.

You really are too stupid to comprehend how dumb and dangerous such efforts are. :palm:

But your hero Hur also said the Trump prosecutions were warranted and expects those charges to bring a conviction

Tucker Carlson Proves Useful Idiot For Putin In Sycophantic Sit-Down

Tucker Carlson‘s just-released interview with Vladimir Putin shows the former Fox News host has left shameless behind for pure sycophancy.

It would be one thing if the much-hyped sit down from the Kremlin was merely fawning, but instead Carlson abdicated any sense of being a significant participant in the interview to let the internationally-scorned Russian president deliver what is for all practical purposes a stump speech. On the handful of occasions when Carlson actually did try to get a word or a question in, Putin knocks him down faster than a shot of vodka at a wedding banquet.

Maybe the FBI warned Fox

So they fired him to avoid investigations into the whole house they dwell in

Tucker is a big part of why Fox paid almost a billion to Dominion He lied about them for a living. He has no problem telling lies. The next one will cost more.
