That isn't the point of AGW. It's not that it gets Boise as hot as Phoenix. That's not the point at all. The point is that it will change the climate. Perhaps Boise will become so dry as to be nearly uninhabitable. Or Phoenix becomes so hot that everyone has to move somewhere else to places that can't handle millions of new residents.

It isn't that it will get hot all across the board. In fact it might get cooler in some places as the climate changes and prevailing weather patterns alter. Increased rain in some places, decreased rain in others.

The key is that it will fuck up our economy. Imagine millions upon millions of people evacuating LA to move somewhere else. That will put an unimaginable strain on places with less infrastructure funding. Millions upon millions evacuating coastal megalopoli like NYC will achieve much the same effect.

And, that's just a sampling. If say, 20% of anthropogenic climate change is due to contrails, and this is easy to fix, why the fuck are these retards focused on CO2? I can tell you why. Because the contrail is cheap and easy to fix, rather than difficult, problematic, and expensive like CO2 which may well do NOTHING to fix the problem.

It's Richard Lindzen for cryin' out loud. He's been a climate change skeptic/denier for a hugely long time. Probably not a lot to see here that he hasn't already puked out over the years.

I think it's worse than that. I think they've already ensured we have the worst future. We have spent so many decades trying to get the scientific illiterates on board with science they couldn't even begin to understand (but are equally sure is wrong) so that now we are probably past being able to save our sorry asses.

We're pretty well and goodly fucked, IMHO. We already see the early stuff that was predicted years and years ago coming to the fore. More intense fire seasons, more intense tropical storms, multi year droughts, increasing temperatures.

We can see with our own eyes the temperatures increasing and the plant hardiness zones moving exactly as would be expected from global climate change.

Climate change is natural not caused by man

Here's how it works:

There's a branch of the earth sciences called PALEOCLIMATOLOGY which studies climate change throughout the earth's history. Indeed climate DOES change and because of the paleoclimatologists we often know WHY it changed. Before humans it was all "natural forcings". But when we try to line up the natural forcings to explain the warming we've seen since the 1850's we can't really get the data to line up. But if we integrate HUMAN FORCINGS (eg greenhouse gas emissions, landuse changes) the data makes a LOT of sense. It lines up.

This is called an "ATTRIBUTION STUDY".

So we know our CO2 levels are increasing, but also along with it we can measure the isotopic composition of the increased CO2 and see it has a marker that pretty much puts the blame directly on humans burning fossil and vegetal fuels.

Honestly we can't hide from our responsibility. One would have to not know any science to think this is all natural. Sure nature plays a role but right now estimates are that at least 51% of the warming since the mid-20th century is due to human activity.

Except the vast vast vast majority of scientists who specialize in this very topic think it is very very real.

Let's say you are down to your last $5000. You could go home and pay your mortgage or you can go to Las Vegas to bet it all and become a millionaire. The odds are astoudningly low that you will become a millionaire in Las Vegas.

When you, yourself, have no expertise in this subject siding with the minority scientists who do question climate change vs the ginormous number of scientists who think it is real is like thinking you'll go to LV and become a millionaire.
