Trump arguably is fascist. In my opinion he's not; he lacks ideology altogether. He's driven entirely by need, the need to be first, to be on top, to be wanted, to win, etc. If he thought promoting himself as a liberal Democrat would do the trick he would be a self styled liberal Democrat.

There is only one major political party (Republicans) in all of the western democracies on the planet which would knowingly nominate a married guy who fucks porn stars, pays them hush money, has been found by the courts to have defrauded his own charity, committed defamation and sexual assault, and have felony convictions for business fraud.

That's a strategy for getting there not an ideology. Fascism promotes race and ethnicity as a national foundation, minimizes the importance of individual members of the society, the result being dictatorship and a brainwashed populace.

Big business wants profits. They do not work on ethics and morality. They work with any government that keeps the profits rolling in.
The people are able to convince themselves that the leader will make the country great. If the leader ,like Mussolini ,is a good speaker, most of the people will follow.
A powerful leader is vulnerable, so control of the masses is required. Violence us the currency of dictators.

European fascism was a rejection of democracy as a slow process. Fascist promised quicker solutions to national problems.

In Italy, they had an incredible history and the people deemed of returning to it. We were once so strong, why not now? That idea has been sold in Russia too. I wonder if Mongols want to return to Ghengis Khan's days?

At this time i think Trump is the only top Democrat Biden would beat.

I think Nikki would have run away with the next election and even as bad as DeSantis is, i think he would likely have won.

Joe Biden and the Dems are thrilled to have Trump again and it is why Biden stayed and ran again, as he knows that is the one guy he would beat.
