Unemployment 20% higher in Democrat strongholds

DamnYankee

Loyal to the end
The more liberals, the worse the economy:

Unemployment in April remained 20 percent higher in states won by Democratic candidate Barack Obama in last fall's presidential election than in states won by Republican candidate John McCain, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics released yesterday.

Nationwide, the unemployment rate went from 8.5 percent in March to 8.9 percent in April.

OH NOEZ!!!! not the WND rightwing nutbag rag.

seriously, people on here will ignore that out of hand just because of the source, no matter how true it is.

I hear you brother. But the source is the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, a real right-wing outfit if there was one. WND is simply reporting.

please look up millionaires southertool,
they are in the liberal states
and they generally have higher educations.

You mean the guys that have decided that they have been over taxed so are leaving those states?

Thanks for making my point. :)

your a retarded redneck and Virginia is the place for you for sure.
no people like you are leaving.
Millionaires can afford the taxes.

Millionaires can afford the taxes.

which explains why a millionaire tax in maryland caused the state to LOSE 100 million because 1/3rd of the millionaires changed their state of residence.

This is why we need to hit the very rich harder on the national tax not the local or state one.

5. (Tie) California
% of Households Earning $200K+: 6.2%
Total Households: 12,200,672
Households Earning $200K+: 757,411
Median Income: $56,311

Election Results:
Obama: 61%
McCain: 37%
Yeah Cali is really struggling, and southern tools state voted Obama too.
Maybe Virgina is not so hillbilly after all.

We aren't moving anywhere. Stuggling businessmen are moving.
We control everything. There will be NO wealth tax. LOL

LOL That's why they've been moving to the Cayman Islands, Ireland and Switzerland.

They'll still have to pay taxes, unless they want to abandon their American citizenship. Which would be a quite horrible business decision indeed.

Justice is sweet. :clink:

Milionaires should be taxed at 99%.

The more liberals, the worse the economy:

Hmmm, did you also notice that those Blue States were also our Industrial states that produce most of our GDP where as the Red States listed are predominantly agricultural?

I wonder what the GDP is in those Blue States vs. Red States?

I wonder what the Median income is in those Blue States vs. Red States?

Ohh my. I can hear brain cells starting to fry.

The more liberals, the worse the economy:

Really? Well instead of using unemployment how about we use a more accurate measure of the economy, like per Capita Income (2006 figures)

Of the top 5 States (not including DC) in per Capita Income all 5 are blue States.

Connecticut - $50,000
New Jersey - $46,000
Massachusetts - $46,000
New York - $44,000
Maryland - $43,000

Of the bottom 8 States (5 are tied for 4th place) in per Capita Income all are Red states.

Mississippi - $27,000
Arkansas - $28,000
West Virginia - $28,000
Utah - $29,000
South Carolina - $29,000
New Mexico - $29,000
Kentucky - $29,000
Idaho - $29,000

So it appears Liberal States do perform better economically than Conservative States as per Capita Income is nearly double in Connecticut then it is in Mississippi.
