Member states of the European Union (E.U.) have agreed to tariffs on a range of U.S. products in response to President Trump’s sweeping new import taxes.

EU states voted Wednesday to “introduce trade countermeasures” against the U.S., the European Commission said in a statement.

The retaliatory tariffs are in response to U.S. import taxes on steel and aluminum that were initiated in March, the Commission said. Duties will start being collected from European importers on April 15.

That's not global; that's between the USA and the EU.

The EU, like China, has decided to retaliate instead of negotiate. The EU, like China, will face higher tariff rates because of it.

Who's likely to "find out" is the US. We are alienating everyone, while China is reaching out to them offering to lower tariffs and take our business. IF Trump was intelligent, he would smack China while staying in good standing with the rest of the world.

China is not the world. It's economy is currently in depression, due to government policies. Money velocity in China is almost nil.
