Willie Brown separated from his wife in 1982, more than a decade before he went on a few dates with Kamala Harris.

The reason he and his wife never acquired a divorce decree is a personal decision only known to them. Maybe he made a promise to his wife she could keep his insurance benefits and spousal survivor benefits. Who knows.

But I think a man who has been amicably separated from his wife for a decade is allowed to go on some dates.
