What is happening to the per capita violent crime rates in those three nations? In the US it has been steadily going down. In both France and England it has been on the rise.

Its an apt analogy. You want to blame the inanimate tool for the actions of the person operating it.
 
I saw that you are an LSU fan.

The graduation rates for student athletes at LSU was 49%. At UA it was 69%.

You might try actually reading the story before you post. The story you are talking about is one concerning athletes in several different sports playing it fast & loose with their textbooks. They got textbooks for friends ect. No ineligible players played. We will have to forfeit some games from the 2005 - 2007 seasons and pay a $44k fine.

We have "car controls" to control and limit car deaths. Speed limits, licensing, safety inspections in some states, age limitations, classes to make sure you operate it properly, seatbelt laws, etc. These are all reasonable things to help prevent unnecessary car deaths.

The minute you mention gun controls to accomplish the same things, you get idiots like you showing up making a comparison with cars as though the entire debate was about banning.

Because you dimwit, one is a RIGHT, while the other is NOT. That is the difference between the two. One does not need classes or a license to exercise a right.
