Why did the prosecution go last on closing arguments in Trump's trial?

We continue to wait for Gardner to either apologize for being wrong, or come up with any evidence that he is right.

The prosecution goes FIRST, the defense LAST. That is the sequence in 99.999% of trials. The judge reversed it in Trump's trial because the prosecution getting the last word would have more impact with the jury. The judge is acting as part of the prosecution.
You need to stop making a fool out of yourself, and read up on NY state law.

Now show us the NY state law that mandates the prosecution should have closing arguments first.

What are you so worried about who goes first or last?

Prosecution goes first at opening, last at closing. The defense can sometimes redirect, but the prosecution gets to answer that as well. Last word and first word goes to the prosecution.

Wrong, in most cases the prosecutor, who has the burden of proof to establish, frequently gets the chance to respond to the defense's final argument.
respond yes......but did they go first or second.....rebuttal is supposed to be limited to defense closing arguments.....

You clearly know nothing of New York.

In all states, the prosecutor gets the final say before deliberations. In most states, prosecutor goes first, then defense, and finally prosecutor again. New York has what it considers an expedited procedure, where defense goes first, and then prosecutor.

It has been the New York procedure since the 1800's. It is in no way unique to this case.
