Why is the left afraid of nuclear energy?

Here are about 30 severe accidents in nuclear energy. They are over 100 million costs plus fatalities.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_and_radiation_accidents_and_incident There are many more smaller ones, some could have gotten worse. You cannot pretend that these things do not happen when you talk nuclear. You have to be ready to accept these if you want nuclear. They happen.
Of course, pro nukers always say all the problems are solved and it will be nothing but milk and honey forever. Huge power plants do not work out that way. The talk about much smaller ones proliferating across the country does not give me solace.

How many oil spills have occurred and what were their costs?

It will burn up before the solar wind could be strong enough to blow it away

For instance on the Parker solar probe they had to develop a new shield to protect it from the heat so it didn’t disintegrate

In other words, it's path will turn into an orbit then be sent elsewhere.

You're suggesting that we waste billions of dollars just to take the trash out that'll probably end up in a landfill.

Then send it into the path of a comet or a gas planet or crash it into an asteroid.

Or simply send it into space and blow it up

We have reusable rockets now so the cost is not in the billions like it used to be

An asteroid would be a good idea. It minimizes the risk and it would be a great study and an experiment.

Virtually everything listed on you link isn't a "nuclear accident" but rather some accident at a nuclear plant or other facility that does something related to nuclear power.

Three-Mile Island was for all intents, a worst case scenario for the US commercial nuclear power industry. Nobody died. Nobody got cancer. The clean up is complete now and it cost less than the Deepwater Horizon drilling platform accident in the Caribbean did to clean up.

Idiots--like YOU--are mostly against nuclear power because you don't understand the first fucking thing about it.

This global warming jazz is a fraud, no less than COVID was a fraud..... this is about excuses to drive the new world order.....our abusers driving our enslavement.

I don't know when you are going to die- BUT LET ME TELL YOU, whenever that happens, you are going to die a very stupid man.

We could power pretty much our entire energy grid off it meaning our reliance on fossil fuels would drastically be reduced cutting the effects on climate change and pollution.

While there have been some accidents in the past the effects of those had almost no impact especially when compared to the disastrous effects of fossil fuel accidents

It would save our nation hundreds of billions of dollars by releasing the need to purchase imports.

The main argument is that the storage of waste material is dangerous but we don’t need to store it, we can send it off into space.

We have the technology to encapsulate nuclear waste in protective casings that could survive any rocket malfunction

So I would like to hear from leftists why you are not pushing for nuclear energy

Fossils aren't used as fuel. They don't burn. Useful fuels are coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear, etc. There is no such thing as a 'fossil fuel'.
Accidents involving any form of energy occur...sometimes catastrophic ones. Usually it's a plant accident injuring and even killing some workers.
The United States does not need to import coal, oil, natural gas, uranium, or any other fuel. We have all we need right here.

Nuclear 'waste' is actually a fuel in a different type of reactor. That 'waste' is only dangerous because it's still emitting neutrons. We can still use that 'waste' as fuel. The waste from THAT reactor is devoid of any significant radiation and can be disposed of in any land fill.

Nuclear energy is just one form of energy. It does not use renewable fuel such as coal, oil, or natural gas. It's advantage is that is only requires a small amount of fuel to function.

Because it kills any point in "renewable" energy keeping power affordable and not a weapon to beat the population with.

No, it doesn't. Coal, oil, and natural gas, solar, wind, and hydroelectric are all forms of energy from renewable sources. Coal, oil, and natural gas are much cheaper then wind or solar, watt for watt.
