Have you ever held someone down and cut off their hair?

Also, too, I love the "Obama campaign worker" thing. As if there weren't four other witnesses quoted in the story.

But no, not downplaying at all.

I don't even want to be involved in this stuff. This is childhood stuff coming out to roost. You see it a lot when bullying comes up. But I've never seen it coming from this side. It's not something I want to look at too closely. Feel free to carry on without me.

??? What are you talking about? you all try to sensationalize an event from 50 years ago, I call bullshit and now you are going run away with some psychobabble excuse? LMAO... how convenient for you.

It doesn't need sensationalizing. Even you admitted it was bullying, but then made the weird conclusion that it wasn't "malicious."

Of course it was malicious, and of course it was bad for the victim. No one lies there chuckling while they can't move and someone is chopping their hair off. And no parent doesn't freak out when their kid comes up with choppy, short hair and says "a bunch of kids held me down & did this; I couldn't move."

I, too, am finished with your idiocy today. Your perception on this event is just creepy, and clearly, borne of apologism for your master.

LMAO.. you say it doesn't need sensationalizing, yet that is what you are all doing. You are desperately trying to sensationalize the story to make it sound horrid. You are continually projecting emotions onto the victim. Tell us, if it doesn't need sensationalizing... WHY are you doing it?

Of course it was malicious

Nonsense. You saying it was doesn't make it so. It was from our point of view bullying, if they saw it as a prank, then it may not have been malicious. You just want it to be... because you need to sensationalize this 50 year old story.

and of course it was bad for the victim. No one lies there chuckling while they can't move and someone is chopping their hair off.

You again are projecting. You wish it to be one extreme or another. He didn't have to be either terrified or chuckling. There is a lot he could have felt. you again are simply projecting what you want him to have felt because it fits into your sensational narrative of the events.

And no parent doesn't freak out when their kid comes up with choppy, short hair and says "a bunch of kids held me down & did this; I couldn't move."

So now you wish to bring in the parents and how they felt? What's the matter, not sensational enough for you yet? You haven't projected enough emotions onto other people yet? Now you wish to tell us how you know how the parents felt?

I, too, am finished with your idiocy today. Your perception on this event is just creepy, and clearly, borne of apologism for your master.

Yet more pathetic projection on your part. The only idiocy is being displayed by you and the other left wing nuts who wish to turn a 50 year old event into a political tool. What is creepy is that you don't see yourself for the simpleton you are.

You don't want to be involved in what.......ranting about a 40 some year old prank that a kid pulled in high school.....thats good news.....maybe you're not as narrow minded
as I first thought....
You said, "But I've never seen it coming from this side".....???
Look closely, its ALL coming from your side.....all ya gotta do is read the posts.....Onecell, Jarod, the Troll, Rana.....all ranting and raving about a 40+year old high school prank
.........exactly why I didn't get too involved in the thread....its bullshit from the first word....

Sister of alleged Romney bullying victim: If he were alive, he’d be furious about the story

When ABC News showed her the story, Christine Lauber’s eyes welled up with tears and she became agitated…

She described her brother as a “very unusual person.”

“He didn’t care about running with the peer group,” Christine Lauber said. “What’s wrong with that?”…

“If he were still alive today, he would be furious [about the story],” she said with tears in her eyes.

Something for you sensationalistic Dems to keep in mind as you abuse this guy...

actually, yes it did. Maybe you should actually read up on what has actually happened if you want to comment it on it.

Actually, it didn't and you ought to take your own advice. Stu White wasn't one of the five witnesses to the incident and he knew about it before the Washington Post called him about it.

So, yeah, keep up the shameless apologism. You're doing a bang up job of it!

lol @ superfreak for saying bullying is not malicious

i say we hold SF down and cut his hair and see if he thinks it is malicious!!

Google's your friend, Yurt. As soon as SF posted that, I plugged in a few keywords, and lo & behold, there was a page full o' stories on it...

you're a lame broken record. why should i have to google when the rule is....you make a claim, copy a source etc...you need to give a link?

you're hilarious...when you want a link, it is the right thing to ask for. when someone you don't agree with wants a link, google is your friend. you're such a pathetic little hack.

Lol... yeah, you are right, he wasn't one of the five... but the fact remains that the post called him to tell him about the story.... and they lied about it. So they could sensationalize a story, just like you and your ilk are doing for your master. Good little parrot.

Speaking of liberals who wish to sensationalize this story for political purposes....

In what now appears to have become a debate within their own family, Peter Maxwell said his brother, with whom he speaks with frequently, has a tendency to “expound on things.”

“He kind of gets into the emotions of a situation or a moment in time and loves to expound on things,” Peter Maxwell said of his brother. “I’m not necessarily saying exaggerate, but wants to take things to a higher level and he made a comment the other day, ‘Oh God, today they would consider that almost assault and battery.’ And I said, ‘You sound like a prosecutor in Northern Michigan.’ … I said, ‘Come on, ‘What really was it?’ And he said, ‘The kid had long hair and it wasn’t really what people were into at the time.’ And I said, ‘Let’s kind of look at it that way. Let’s not make it a national media event for an incident that happened in 1965.’”

Shocking...
