You know what's ironic, there are lefties who agree. On my fb I saw a few friends had pics from the occupy protests and they went holding signs up of the last black guy killed in Afghanistan. I knew one of the guys holding the signs, he was a big reason I left the local peace movement. I could just hear his self righteous whining anger about liberals hypocrisy for caring about martins life. The govt didn't kill him! They killed the soldier in Afghanistan! Just like it used to infuriate him that I cared about women's rights. How dare I when the govt was killing women in Afghanistan!

It made me feel good all over again that I'm not around those people any more. And your very similar self righteous bullying-yet-somehow-still-whining anger reminds me that if you go far enough left and far enough right, you will find a bunch of very like minded assholes hanging out together in self righteous triumph.

the martin case? yeah it was a bad turnout, for all involved. a kid is dead that didn't need to be dead. another person is facing a charge of 2nd degree murder due to false and ill informed public outrage, as well as an overzealous prosecutor who is already known for unfairly applying the laws by sending a woman to prison for 20 years for a warning shot at a violently abusive SO. Two police reports written the night that George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin said that Zimmerman had a bloody face and nose, according to police reports made public today.

The reports also note that two witness accounts appear to back up Zimmerman's version of what happened when they describe a man on his back with another person wearing a hoodie straddling him and throwing punches.

A police report concluded that at the time he was confronted by Zimmerman, Trayvon "was in fact generally running in the direction of where he was staying as a guest in the neighborhood."


Zimmerman had reported "suspicious persons, all young black males" to police on three previous occasions in 2011, the reports said.


"According to record checks, all of Zimmerman's suspicious person calls while residing in the Retreat neighborhood have identified Black males as the subjects".
