IMO, it was Martin's family who would see no justice. It seems the SYG philosophy is very popular in Floriduh, so getting a jury that is 100% against Zimmerman is a longshot.

the SYG laws are popular in most states, generally as a result of what some would call 'liberal minded judges' letting convicted criminals off with easy sentences so that they can offend against the public again. People do get tired of being at a disadvantage.

I'd say he is likely guilty! Judging by his statements he gave police(that were unbelievable) and even more so now that his credibility is ruined.

Listen, if the State attorney hadn't got involved and played judge and jury, the Blacks wouldn't have made a big commotion of which the media was forced to report on.

how is it being in denial when his lawyer, an officer of the court, told the judge it was his fault and that zimmerman gave him the passport, but he forgot to turn it over?

you've convicted him without due process.

my opinion is probably not a popular one, but if martin had been any "color" other than black, and in the beginning, liberals wouldn't give two cents. and virtually every liberal thought zimmerman was white.

If Martin 'had been any "color" than black'.....he'd still be alive. Zimmerman's drug induced desire to kill wouldn't have triggered if Martin were white.

I can appreciate that. However, with such a 'right', comes a great responsibility. Whereas the majority of gun owners may indeed be responsible, you're always going to have the Zimmermans out there who just 'can't wait to shoot a criminal'.

How do you prevent people from starting altercations, solely to create a situation where they get to shoot someone?

They must start throwing these people in jail, so that the law abiding gun owners can benefit from the improperly written law.
