Interesting. Don't you claim to be a Christian?

Christianity has a bloody history, but modern Christians are much more peaceful than your run of the mill Muslim. That's because the only language the Muslim understands is coercion.

Tibetan Buddhists believe the same but with different spirits. They also perform Exorcisms. (Tibetan Buddhism is difficult for me.. They believe all sorts of stuff Buddha never spoke about, but may have believed considering he grew up in the same paganistic society.)
I think food restrictions for "purity" are odd as well.

But heck, people who go through a specific ceremony in the Temple wear some different clothes and we're all going on about it like it is something odder than believing that if you eat bacon you are evil and God doesn't want you anymore or believing that bushes talk to people in God's voice...

Bigot, unless you can find me a cite from the official Catholic church that says that they all belive people can be possessed by a Deamon and perform Exorcisms.

You really are upset that I outed your bigotry against Mormonism. You join "good company" with Kenneth up there. Thoughtless nonsense spouted about without knowledge in order to put the worst possible light on somebody you want to smear is bigotry, even if you don't want to admit it.

I wonder why Bishops are seeking Priests to become exorcists if they don't believe in that? Things that make you go hmmmm...

You've gotta admit, you've taken a somewhat contradictory position on religion. On the original "bigot" thread, you were upset about some trying to paint Mormonism as "weird," but here you are saying that all religions are basically weird.

It's just a little hard to follow. Is it okay to say one is weird, as long as you include the rest?

There are other sects of Christianity that believe in demon possession and exorcism, not just Catholics andnot all Catholics.

Actually, I called him a bigot for quite literally lying about the religion as a basis for why he thought it was "weird"...

Much like here. There is a inference that all "Mormons" wear these garments, while I posted earlier in that same thread an explanation of who wears these and why... Now, knowing that if you continue to say they are all "weird" because they all wear "magic underwear" then I would happily tell you that you were a bigot.

In that particular thread you are talking about he didn't claim they were "weird" he made a false claim about their beliefs. First I called the story a bigoted hit piece for spreading a falsehood, and explained what was false, then later I called the author of the thread, who continued to promote the false claim even after he had learned the truth, a bigot. Not for calling them "weird"...

It wasn't calling it "weird" it was flat spreading falsehoods in order to "paint" somebody in what they believed would be seen as negative that was bigoted.
 
Mormanism is all down to the honesty and or sanity of one guy.

Yeah, I can see that. However, I don't see why I would need to try to convince them to change their minds... or why I would vote for somebody with policies entirely at odds with mine based on the "weirdness" of the religion.

Many religions have odd little pieces to them, does that mean those people who believe in them are invalid?
