Senator Dirksen is a civil rights hero of mine. I've spoken of his courageous act many, many times. I speak of him to the youth I mentor and spend time talking to.

That being said .. where do you think the DINO dixiecrats that Dirksen fought against went to and are now?

They are in the Republican Party.

Are you aware that democrats had more African-Americans in Congress in 1969 than republicans have had COLLECTIVELY in Congress to this date?

I'll explain it to you more simply. It was southern & rural conservatives who were the bigots back then and it's the same polity who are bigots now. That's what makes your argument dishonest and that's what makes you like Southern Man. The fact that they were Democrats back then and are Republicans now is not relevent. It's still the same assholes who are the bigots.
