WASHINGTON — President Obama on Wednesday invoked executive privilege to withhold from a Congressional oversight committee some documents and communications among his advisers regarding the failed gun enforcement operation known as “Fast and Furious,” in which weapons purchased in the United States were allowed to cross into Mexico.

Admittedly, my reasons for wanting this to come out are purely selfish. I want it to be very clear on election night that Obama will lose. I don't want it to be a close call. I want to relax with my gin and tonic, watch as the leftist media is forced to call it for Romney in the first hour or two, and see Obama's dumb face on TV as he gives his concession speech.

I don't know what to make of this.

Obama isn't stupid, he knows that these type of stall tactics can only last so long. And he's running a campaign so why not just get it over with in june so that by november it's a dead and forgotten issue?

this is a valid point, because we all know that a dem led senate is never going to convict an impeached president, even if laws were clearly broken.

Because he's hiding something so big that it wouldn't be forgotten by the election. That is my theory, anyway.
