Now that Obama has singled out a special group of people, that is, Mexicans, illegal aliens, that don't have to abide by or obey the US immigration laws.....
what might be next.............maybe African Americans can be excused from drug laws.....maybe the Irish can be excused from public drunkenness......
how about Catholic priests can now molest kids on Fridays.....maybe Mulsims in the US can have those 4 wives after all......or the LDS............man, Obama can rack up points and get voters from a bunch of new sources......

The new rule does not apply specifically to Hispanics and deals only with immigration.

When President Obama addresses a large gathering of Latino politicians later today in Florida, he's likely to get a warm reception. Just last week, Mr. Obama announced that hundreds of thousands of young illegal immigrants who came to this country as children can stay in the U.S.

Odd he didn't address a large gathering of Chinese politicans, or Arab politicans, etc.....but Latinos...

on a scale from 9 to 10, just how naive are you...????

It was the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. Why would there be Chinese or Arab politicians there? Although I'm sure it's applicable to other groups who may have undocumented residents, I wouldn't be suprised if there's many Asians eligible too.

He isn't overstepping his authority. He's the President. His job is to do what's best for the country and stopping the deportation of young people who were educated in the US is the right thing to do. It's the logical thing to do. Every country does all it can to prevent a "brain drain" and only lunatic Republicans would not only encourage it but insist on it.

It comes back to the same old thing and that's called "thinking things through". They just can't seem to grasp that concept for whatever reason.

I can't see the logic behind the Repub opposition other than just stupidity. The only illegals that are allowed to stay are the ones who are educated, working and have obeyed the law. The US gets to keep the cream of the crop. Who, in their "right" mind, would be against that? (I have be careful using the word "right" because in many cases it couldn't be more wrong.)

To what age are you referring? I don't think it applies to those in grade one or two. If we're talking about those who are 15 or 16 it will mean the parents mght be staying for two or three years. I'm not sure of the exact age that applies.
