You know how those blacks are. Always trying to shiv decent white folks and steal their watches.

And God forbid he should get his hands on Ann!

I really don't like the trend of unearthing the most horrifically unflattering photos imaginable of women politicos and political wives. I know that the right has specialized in this for years, believe me. But is the right response to turn around and do the same thing? I don't think so.

It really degrades women in a special way. Men are rarely subject to this...these extreme closeups at unflattering angles and just clicked at that right micro second and there you have it. Instant degradation. Shut your mouth or we'll paint you as an ugly unfuckable bitch.

While I agree with most of the above, you are crazy if you think the two sides are only doing it to women. The trolls (like the one that started this thread) especially love them. Signalken is another troll that enjoys them. They don't seem to care if it is men or women.

As for the left/right issue... just look at Sarah Palin or any other conservative woman and see how fast the Hollywood nuts and other liberals demean them. To them: 'those women' aren't really women and thus it doesn't count if you treat them like shit.

Ken posts cartoons! That is totally different. No I haven't noticed slash posting any horrific pics of men, but maybe he has. The reason I say I know it's prevalent on the right is because for years they have had that thing going around "our side" with pics of Bo dereck etc, and "their side" with really bad, in some cases photoshopped pics of Pelosi, hillary, and for some reason Rosie O"Donnel. And of course Hillary has always been a huge target for these tactics, long before anyone but a few beauty contest judges knew who Sarah Palin was. The fact is sexism in politics did not start with Sarah Palin...it's just the first time you ever noticed it.

Ken doesn't post solely cartoons... he is partial to any talking point image, many of which catch people at a bad moment. Like with Michele Bachmann eating the sausage...

Show us some pics of male politicos that are deliberately unflattering in ways that demean them as 'unfuckable'. Keep in mind that caricatures of chimps don't count.

I've already said it's women of both parties. This thread is about Ann Romney.

So I don't know what your point is. I haven't seen any pictures like this of men, of course I am sure that one exists, but even if you find it, it won't change the fact that nearly all of them are of women and that this is a tactic used against women in politics.

Usually by other women like you.

My point was that Ken posts more than just cartoons. It wasn't a "Darla is wrong" moment. It was just pointing out one of the images he uses.

I remember the image that Jarod used to use that made it look like Bush was about to smooch up on McCain... while funny, that is the types of images we use to "make a point" nowadays...

Hmm. I guess Superfreak was talking through his rectum again. He has yet to produce a single deliberately-unflattering photograph of a male politico as 'unfuckable'.

But that wasn't about Michele being ugly and 'unfuckable'. It's about her stupidity.

Personally, I prefer the one of her husband eating the corndog.

That's a good point, and you're right.

I know, that picture of her husband has such connotations in the light of how he just seems so closeted. It's like he doesn't want to seem like he's too familiar with that move. Oh just the tip I can't take more than that! uh huh, sureeee you can't.

Why don't those caricatures count?

Unless it blows a hole in your agenda, big enough to drive a band wagon through.

This thread became ironic; because Darla and Bijou are upset over the way they see women being shown, yet they made the determination that those pictures made the women "unfuckable".

It wasn't men that determined that the women were "unfuckable", it was the women complaing that decided this.

Irony and hypocrisy at its highest degree. :D

Irony Alert: Ann Romney Complains About Negative Campaigning

Cry me a freaking river.

On a mission to shatter the image of her husband as rigid and unrelatable, Ann Romney told CBS News she worries that President Obama's entire campaign strategy is "kill Romney."

"I feel like all he's doing is saying, 'Let's kill this guy," she said, seated next to her husband, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, in an exclusive interview with CBS News chief political correspondent Jan Crawford. "And I feel like that's not really a very good campaign policy.

"I feel like Mitt's got the answers to turn this country around," she continued. "He's the one that's got to bring back hope for this country, which is what they ran on last time. But the truth is, this is the one that has the hope for the - for America."

Interesting that Mrs. Romney used the word "truth" there because her husband has done little else on the campaign trail but tell non-stop lies about President Obama. In fact, the staggering number of lies Willard has told about Obama are unprecedented in modern presidential campaigning. And there doesn't seem to be any stopping him.

Romney has figured out a loophole – one can lie over and over, and those lies quickly become part of the political narrative, practically immune to "fact-checking". Ironically, the more Romney lies, the harder it then becomes to correct the record. Even if an enterprising reporter can knock down two or three falsehoods, there are still so many more that slip past.

So tell us, Mrs. Romney. What exactly is President Obama saying about your husband that isn't true?

Pressed by Crawford on what qualities in her husband she sees most misrepresented, she said, that "he's not as approachable as I am or something like that. That's like, really kind of funny to me because it's all - it's all backwards."

I may throw up.
