We had folks beating the drum that the heatwave was a result of global warming... implying humans were the cause.
Not only was the temporary heatwave not the result of AGW, it was the result of the PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation is in cold phase) shifting the jet stream.

5. The cold PDO is really throwing a curve ball in seasonal forecasting right now. This will influence any forecasting for fall and winter. The cold PDO is the main cause in the main ridge of heat further east than expected so far this summer. We may be looking at winters like 51-52 than 76-77 for winter analogs now since the PDO is not turning around like ENSO. This point would require more research.

Amazing how so many are SO sure that humans are not causing problems with our climate.

That's because we've shown that the methods the climate team use to declare past climate are biased and faulty.
We've shown that by pre-selecting trees that "show a climate signal", Mann, et al, have biased the results.
You can't select 12 trees out of a sample of 320 and then use the 12 trees to claim to have derived the temps when if the entire sample is used the correlation falls apart.
