There is never a plumber when you want one... and IF you finally find one he cant say whether he will come on Wednesday or Thursday, morning or afternoon.
I just count myself lucky that I don't need a plumber....

This!
Do not count on others to do your repairs. Learn how to do them yourself.

I just count myself lucky that I don't need a plumber....
is that because you don't have indoor plumbing where you live?.....
And be responsible for even more unemployment?
Humour is always in the next state for you isn't it? Never quite where you are.
The reference to a plumber is one of those humourous sayings we have, like 'There is a never a bus when you need one, then three come together.'
You really are incredibly thick - even for a yank.
...but I am glad you are stupid, Mr. Prophet, we can use your posts as proof that America can only fail while it breeds people like you.
Have a nice day, y'all. LOL
Humor ?, Think you're a comedian ?......Like they say in this country, "don't quit your day job"
What profound reasoning......so remain a parasite on society, someone else could use the job you refuse to do......
I do almost all my own plumbing considering a 45 minute job costs one hour labor plus half an hour travelling time @ $95/hr for a total of $142.50 plus tax. That's a LOT of beer money. Or a nice bottle of Johnny Walker.

As impressed as I am by the obvious talents of my fellow posters, I should point out that this thread is not about plumbing..... really. Only Tom had it sussed. Obviously a Brit thing.
Are you referring to waiting for the cable guy?
It sounds as if it might be. But what IS a cable guy? Sounds like something with which to build a road bridge, but I'm sure it's not.
