yes you do. you have yet to show how my support of romney's offshore legal accounts is hypocritical compared to nigel's hypocritical stance on obama paying the least amount of taxes necessary.
your last sentence makes zero sense and i never said that. obama used as many loopholes as he could, so did romney. you're only bitching because romney is a republican who has not advocated higher taxes....
there is no zero hypocrisy on my part. i would support obama doing the same as romney. in fact, i support obama taking the deductions and using the loopholes. what you fail to distinguish is that calling him out on hypocrisy and not leading, is not the same as supporting his underlying actions. it obviously is too much for you to grasp.
thanks for admitting you can't prove how i was hypocritical...using YOUR logic![]()
(1) We actually don't really know if Romney didn't do anything illegal because we do not have sufficient information regarding his investments and his tax returns to evaluate his claims of complying with the law. Given that Romney isn't giving any further details regarding his investments and isn't going to produce any more tax returns, and is thus unwilling to produce any evidence at all to substantiate his claims, I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt here.
(2) Even assuming Romney didn't do anything illegal, that's setting the bar pretty damn low for a presidential candidate isn't it?

What a wonderful post. First, I love how you actually SUPPORT his offshore accounts. Second, how does Nigel come into this?
Third is the awesome, predictable denial that you ever said that all Romney has advocated is that people pay the "least amount of taxes possible," which you just said a few posts ago.
Your hypocrisy & glaring double-standard is, once again, on display for anyone else to see & judge for themselves. You've made it pretty easy, as always.
I also love "there is no zero hypocrisy on my part." Freudian double-negative, there.
1. i didn't mean to state it as fact, it is my opinion and until evidence surfaces otherwise, i'll stand by it. and really, all this speculation on your and other liberals part and not wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt, is not surprising. you bend over backwards to give a D the benefit. you went all out defending obama, but want to believe the worst about romney.
2. how is putting your money in a swiss bank account setting the bar low? is it your contention that all presidential must only buy american, must only put their money in banks solely owned by americans and buy stock in corps solely owned by americans?
and once again you run away from the actual discussion, refuse to discuss my actual words and show how they are hypocritical and then resort to your usual lies.
i never denied i said romney advocates that people pay the least amount of taxes possible. stop your petty lying. since you are clearly bent on not proving your claim and are now on your rants and lies. we're done. i gave you a chance yesterday to prove your claims and you haven't.
neral Buck Turgidson;1034674](1) You presented it as fact. And what in particular did I defend Obama on? The fact that he didn't voluntarily pay more taxes than required by law? Obama filed a standard tax return with the standard tax deductions. Romney has structured his investments and business activities in a way to skirt US law. So, yes, it is legal, but, as I said, his creative tax avoidance strategies are different in both degree and hind from what Obama has done.
How are your feelings here any different from a birther against Obama?
Are you for real? Obama actually released his birth certificate (and his tax returns btw) and Romney has refused to let anyone see his tax returns. I really don't know what planet you people are on? It is amazing to me.
I never said Romney did anything illegal. I said we don't know whether he did anything illegal because we do not have that information. I also said that taking plain vanilla deductions is different in degree and kind from the creative tax avoidance gimmicks Romney has engaged in.
Also, too, based on what little we know about Romney's investments and the fact that he won't release his tax returns screams tax avoidance and possibly evasion. If Romney did nothing illegal, what's the harm in releasing his tax returns like every other modern presidential candidate? Also, too, just imagine the outcry if the IRS actually investigated Romney at this point. Think about that for a second, dumbass.
And, no, I can't be any more specific about what is setting the bar low. Read, fucker.
read fucker? you mentioned something yesterday, are you talking about the same thing today? be clear fucker.
it is not different at all. they are both avoiding paying more taxes. stop being such an apologist. you don't think the IRS looked into romney's taxes? LOL. that is truly hilarious. his income bracket is the highest bracket to be audited. he was a candidate in 08 and if you think the IRS never looked into his taxes, you are more of a hack than i imagined.
you can imagine how sorts of evil things, but the fact remains, releasing his taxes won't prove a damn thing. the IRS has already looked at his taxes and so far has not accused him of any wrong doing.
Hey Yurt, if you have evidence of an IRS audit of Romney's returns for any year, please provide it. Otherwise, you probably shouldn't say that the IRS looked at his taxes. Just an FYI.
lmao....you don't need an audit for someone to have looked at his tax return moron. and fucker...why is you can't explain what the bar is?
And some people, after paying the proper tax, hide money in Swiss banks so it can not be touched in the event of a court order. Bankruptcy, divorce, losing a law suit.....
Just saying.

The only reason I can see why a US citizen would have a Swiss bank account would be to quarantine money earned abroad so that it doesn't become subject to US tax.
