More like 40-50% at least, it's hard to count really, because 'liberal white guilt' is hard to measure, it's well hidden. Several staunch conservatives have mentioned Alan West, another black man, to be the VP pick. The most popular of ALL people in the GOP for VP, is Cuban-American. I see no indication that anywhere NEAR 10% of the party is overtly racist.

if romney chooses rice or rubio - solely because of skin color

obama choosing biden - nothing to do with skin color

I'd say pretty good considering the absolute, unmitigated failure Obama has been.

1. I ain't "libs" I'm much more conservative then "progressives", but i do tend to be somewhat liberal on social issue, not the spending side though.

appreciate the thoughtful response. i'm new too , and don't know the players here -except for a few.
It's a good board, good mixture of ppl who would rather debate/converse then "your mama" kinna of atrocious debating skills.
I meant Romney .".has use of' - something other the white guy demographics.
Semantics, but he/Repubs need to broaden their base, they risk being where the Dems' were back in the 80's. Seen as superfluous.Not germane, etc.

Not that I personally give a flying....about(either) partys, but i observe and comment, on the partisianship.
