Romney is in a box!

From Jarod's post: "Enough voters are believing that what Mitt did with Bain contributed to the bad economy."

Then he's right.

The mission of Bain to fire people. People without jobs don't spend money, hence there's a contribution to the bad economy. Predatory capitalism is as bad as predatory lending...and they were both rampant back then.

The mission of PE companies is not to fire people. Laying people off can be a result of attempting to make companies more profitable. What is the difference in the PE world today vs back then?

In a box Indeed?

so obama is responsible for nothing. he is an angel.

He sure ain't responsible for the crash, and since '09, the economy has been growing.

Why won't you call out Bush? Are you afraid because you're so deeply in love with him?

No, I never said that either. However no president in modern times has had to face the multiplicity of economic problems that Obama was saddled with.

um.........he CHOSE to run for office. he wasn't saddled with anything. in fact, he was a senator prior to being president.

No. It's to make money. The most effective way to make money? Get rid of people. Fire people. I mean...c'mon...even Mitt's admitted that! It's the nature of the business.

There's a good side and a bad side to venture capitalism. Unfortunately, Bain paticipated in both.

What is the bad side to venture capitalism? The VC's get too much control of the company? Not all small young companies go the VC route of course but where would you like to see young companies go for capital?

Certainly not vulture capitalists like Bain. That much should be quite clear by now.
