They did it on their own

Where'd they get the lemons? Or the potable water to make the lemonade? Or the subsidized electricity that makes the ice?

Or the streets that the customers drive on?

Need I go on?

Now that we have a strong infrastructure in place, everyone wants the govt. to go away.

How quaint

If only the gobblement confined its meddling to roads and "infrastructure".

Here is a question for you. Is there any amount of government that you consider too big. And don't scream about abortion. Seriously. Is there any amount of government intrusion that you wouldn't accept?

Is there any amount of taxation that you would balk at? How much is too much in your view? Is there a tax rate that you would say is "too high?"

Yes

A pair of sisters who run a thriving lemonade stand in Texas beg to differ with President Obama's message that entrepreneurs "didn't get there on your own," and several grownups who groom the next generation of small business owners say the kids are right.

Didn't we already establish that was not what the President meant? Hint: The answer is yes.

Start a thread, and I may waste time on your childish antics.

I won't.

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help," Obama said. "There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

The antecedent to "that" is not the business, but "roads and bridges," as well as the "American system" as a whole.

"The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together," Obama said.

why are liberals so angry at a couple of youngsters with a lemonade stand?
I'm not angry, I simply believe one should acknowledge those who paved your way. To claim to be self made is the hight of arrogance.

So when OWEshitforbrainsbama brags about "killingOsama", he really shouldn't. He should acknowledge those who paved his way like Bush and Cheney. To claim otherwise is the height of arrogance

Bravo !!!

why are liberals so angry at a couple of youngsters with a lemonade stand?

On the contrary. They simply acknowledge the infrastructure and people that allowed the kids to have a lemonade stand and customers .. which of course you did not.

That "angry" thing is invented .. and used quite a bit by the right.

Purchased lemons from another business. Water came from the well we dug.

Or the streets that the customers drive on?
Private roads... We use them and live on them...

Need I go on?
Obviously

Now that we have a strong infrastructure in place, everyone wants the govt. to go away.
Anyway, even if none of that were true and we used public roads and paid for water from the water company... everybody has the same use of those roads, the same water, the same access to the supermarket, why did these entrepreneurs find success where others failed? Was it the fact that they risked capital when others would not? That they persevered when others quit? Did they do this themselves? Yeah, I'd say so. From the exact same starting point they found a way to succeed.
How quaint
Yeah. Quaint.
