I am still a member. I don't agree with everything they do.
I notice howey thanked you for this post. That figures. He claims there are no responsible gun owners. Period. lol
I to am a member of the NRA. I don't vote for every candidate they endorse but they are still a good voice fighting for my 2nd ammendment rights. A lot of folks don't like them because they have on occasion caved on certain issues but they are the strongest voice out there. Somewhere in Chicago there is a picture of me floating around with an NRA cap on, my Ruger pistol on my side standing in front of my horse trailer at the local convenience store. The guy that took the pic couldn't believe I was going in and out of the store visiting and drinking coffee while waiting for a flat to be fixed. Anyway, I digress....the NRA isn't perfect and they beg for money all the time but they are a good alli.

I fully understand the sentiments of both of you. But, I reject most all of what the NRA actually stands for today. Not so much what they say but what they do. The kooks, ya know.
