Is this the most ugly of all ugly americans?

not according to cnn per a few minutes ago, mitty has 'revised' his comments after a meeting with the pm though

Making the controversial comments to NBC News last night, he said: 'You know, it’s hard to know just how well it will turn out.

'There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging. Because in the Games, there are three parts that makes Games successful.

'Number one, of course, are the athletes. That’s what overwhelmingly the Games are about. Number two are the volunteers. And they’ll have great volunteers here.

'But number three are the people of the country. Do they come together and celebrate the Olympic moment? And that’s something which we only find out once the Games actually begin.'

Again, he did not say what you said he did. He did not say they were not ready. He stated the above. He was talking from the perspective of having run the Salt Lake Games.

It is just like the whole 'anglo saxon' comment. The daily stated it was an 'unnamed Romney adviser' that stated it. Yet the Romney camp says none of them said any such thing. You want to bet the unnamed source never appears?

As I stated, your original comment was debunked. I am going by the text as I cannot see video at work. Have any of the videos had Romney stating 'uk not ready for olympic games' as your original post claimed?

And not according to every news outlet in the United states. SF doesn't know what "debunked" actually means.

It means that Romney did not state what Don said he stated.

Romney comments:

Making the controversial comments to NBC News last night, he said: 'You know, it’s hard to know just how well it will turn out.

Don's post about Romney that he said came from cnn live:
uk not ready for olympic games

Do you see how they are not the same quotes Darla? either Don or CNN was paraphrasing and doing a poor job at it. That is what was debunked.

Now, do go on making a fool of yourself. Skewering you over and over again is fun, no matter how repetitive it has become of late.

OMG this is so awesome:

got off to a rocky start after he called Britain’s Olympic preparations “disconcerting” and questioned whether Londoners would even show up for the event. Mitt commented to NBC on Tuesday: “The stories about the private security firm not having enough people, the supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging.” British Prime Minister David Cameron responded sassily: “We are holding an Olympic Games in one of the busiest, most active, bustling cities anywhere in the world. Of course it’s easier if you hold an Olympic Games in the middle of nowhere.” Burn.

LOL

The political editor of the Daily Male, a con paper by the way, is tweeting that at Whitehall they are telling him that it was a car wreck and he's worse than Sarah Palin!

Total, complete, epic fail! I can't stop laughing, it's days like these I love reading twitter.

It's hilarious to see his defenders twist and spin. It reminds me of how Bush's loyalists excused his uncouth social faux pas as down-home country charm.

They're furious, enraged, and scared shitless. I expect nothing less. Anyone would be. This guy is going down, down, down.

As I have tried to tell you before but I will attempt to again, the Daily Mail is widely recognised as a newspaper that has a very high female readership. You might want to pass that back to the sistas.

This is the twitter feed for the Daily Male political editor. He blew himself up in England. Is he going somewhere after this? This could be the most epic overseas trip any of us have ever witnessed.

He's off to Israel. I have the first line of his first speech in Israel.

'If I was a Yid, which thank Smith, I'm not......'

Then he's off to Poland where he intends to tell the world how much he likes the Polish and that his wife buys it for the maids all the time and that Michelle Obama prefers beeswax.

:rofl2: I don't think your vision is far-fetched, unfortunately.

:palm: he's a gaffe machine, just got the story on US evening news. This is so 'bigly insultingly stupid' it has staying power.
I saw the mayor of London even saying "there's a fellow named Mitt Romeny that wonders if we can sucessfully pull off the games"

It got a big cheer, at the lighting of the olympic opening ceremonies/FYI. us "yanks" aren't are so blunderingly obnoxious, but we do have our fair share.

Don't for one moment think we do not have our share as well. But they are not half as much fun as some of yours. :)
In fact I would have put Boris Johnson firmly in their midst had he not revealed several endearing traits recently.
