The bright side is "typical" is no longer a word that can be used when it comes to this particular case .. although much more typical that it would happen in the south.

The question I would like to ask the couple is .. what in the fuck were you thinking?

The right in this country continually says that black people are always seeing racism. They want to pretend that the black community is over sensitive. The truth is black people in this country go through this kind of racism all the time. As BAC says, it is not typical, but if a CHURCH that claims to follow the teachings of Christ doesn't want "colored folks" married in their church, what stops those same people from not hiring people because they are black, or renting to them, or any myriad of decisions made by the same racists that would not let two black people get married in their church.
 
One more thing, how many of those god fearing Christians that don't like Obama or his policies don't see race first?
 
Beginning with Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms, most supporters of Jim Crow left the Democratic Party and headed straight for the Republican party which has a "southern strategy" when it comes to wooing white racists that used to vote Dem because Lincoln was a republican.

i have never heard anyone say that soc. the people who i think always see racism and are over sensitive are far left wing nut jobs who are mostly white.

EVERYDAY I SEE IT AND HEAR IT. I live in North Mississippi, yuck. But it's not too far different from the subs of LA or Chicago or Kansas City.
