Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day brings out supporters, protesters

It used to be that taking a bite of a chicken sandwich just meant you were hungry. Now it has become a symbol of whether you stand for or against same-sex marriage, or – alternately – the right to express your personal views without fear of retaliation.

At Chick-fil-A locations across the country, people voted with their wallets today, coming out to express support for the fast-food chain after CEO Dan Cathy said in an interview that he is a firm backer of “traditional marriage.”

“I believe what the Bible says (about marriage),” Chauncy Fields told us after wolfing down a breakfast of chicken and biscuits. “So I came out here to support Chick-fil-A and the movement.”

Chris Johnson sees a double standard. “He (Dan Cathy) said the exact same thing that President Obama said,” Johnson told Fox News -- referring to the president’s past opposition to gay marriage – “And he gets negativity, and Obama gets positivity.”

Its ok to have a particular religouse beleif, but is'ts no ok to force others to follow those beliefs. Its time Christians learn to keep it to themselves.

You mean by trying to condemn/destroy them for expressing their thoughts?

What it's time for, is secular idiots to go read the 1st Amendment and STFU.

Mr. Cathy didn't force you to follow his beliefs, he didn't refuse to sell his product to those who didn't believe as he did. He's 'guilty as charged' for expressing his viewpoint. He doesn't have to keep it to himself, the 1st Amendment doesn't say that.

To try and run people out of business and destroy them because they don't believe as you, is pretty much forcing your beliefs on them, don't you think?

NOt if those beleifs are predudicial and hateful in the first place.

Chick fil a, We appreciate your intolerant and narrow minded bigotry, Americans are always intolerant for a while, you know all the native Americans massacred, or WWII intolerance, or race intolerance, or feminist intolerance, or alcohol intolerance, or religious intolerance, we Americans eventually get over our intolerance, sometimes it takes years, sometimes a hundred years, and sometimes it just fades into a corner somewhere and only pops out when needed.

But in order for you nice freedom loving bigots to justify your intolerance you use only part of your book, time you stood up and followed all of it. See here for help. http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sh...-of-libtards-in-a-twist&p=1046183#post1046183
