Ah... The extemporaneous letters in British words strikes again. We haven't spelled it that way for about 15 years or so... Kind of like the "u" in color. I'll add a few extemporaneous letters to the bottom of the post so you can add them to the words I type, correctly, until you feel better...

That may be true in the UK or in Hong Kong, but here in the US one can write a check. I spelled it as my bank spells it. Since they are the ones holding my money, transfering the funds to whomever had my check, and sending me information concerning the check, I will accept their spelling.
